TCS London Marathon 2023: Course Preview and Race Details
Course Overview
The TCS London Marathon will take place on Sunday, April 23, 2023. The route has remained largely unchanged since its inception in 1981 and showcases some of London's most iconic landmarks, including:
- Buckingham Palace
- The Cutty Sark
- Tower Bridge
- Canary Wharf
Start Waves and Course Clearance
The race will begin with a sequence of start waves from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Short gaps will be maintained between waves to allow the course ahead to clear.
BBC Coverage and Running Show Information
Live coverage of the race will begin on BBC at the start time. Additionally, the Running Show will take place in the lead-up to the event. Opening times for the Running Show are as follows:
- Friday, April 21: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Saturday, April 22: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
