A blast from the past
WEB Cinderella City Mall was the largest shopping center west of the Mississippi when it opened in 1968. It was a Denver institution for decades, but it closed in 1998. Now, a Denver architect is creating a virtual tour of the iconic mall, so that people can experience it once again.
A unique design
WEB Cinderella City was designed by Denver architect John Portman. It was a unique mall, with six distinct shopping areas: the Blue Mall, the Rose Mall, the Sunflower Mall, the Garden Court, the Crystal Court, and the Village Court. Each area had its own theme and atmosphere.
A Denver landmark
WEB Cinderella City was located at Hampden Avenue and Santa Fe Drive in Englewood. It was a popular destination for shoppers from all over the Denver metro area. The mall was also home to several restaurants, a movie theater, and an ice skating rink.
